The Last Five Years charts the five-year relationship of Jamie and Cathy, two 20-something artists who fall head over heels in love. But in a time where professional and personal passions collide, navigating the waters of love and matrimony can sometimes prove to be too much.
Starring Kay Sibal as Cathy Hiatt and Michael Hackett as Jamie Wellerstein, Out of the Blue Theatre Company presents The Last Five Years.
The Last Five Years was performed and filmed in regulation with COVID-19 safety guidelines. All in-person cast and crew were fully quarantined and tested several times leading up to and after the production. This event was overseen by a medical health professional who acted as an advisor to our production. The cast and crew recorded this show fully isolated from any outside contact during the shooting process. All other designers and crew members have worked virtually on this project.

On a stormy Halloween night, employees of a popsicle stick production company convene at their boss’s apartment for a fun night of games and conversation. However, things take a turn for the worst after a mysterious murder ruins the party! When a detective and his partner arrive to help catch the murderer, they have some difficulty coming to a conclusion.
It is up to you to assist them in identifying the culprit amongst our party guests.
These employees will be put to the test as scandals arise, secrets are revealed, and chaos ensues. So, join us this spooky season for an interactive virtual mystery: Murder, I Hardly Know Her!

Step into the shoes of some of the greatest American Icons of the 19th and 20th century to see their perspectives and hopes for the future. In the words of our incredible director, Jon Michael Villagomez: “reconsider the complex iconography that had shaped the nation we call home... perhaps it will be some small step in our journey to realize our best selves.”
